If you downloaded the previous version, please try the updated version, there was a bug in the old version due to optimizations being turned on.

nueOverClockTest is a simple utility to test how your device overclocks – its just a test version, so the usual disclaimers apply. I’ll note these things so far:

(1) MSM72xx devices do not overclock well. Usual behavior is auto-restart, or lockup.
(2) Overclock seems to be stable on AC, but not stable on battery. Seems to be PMIC related, so I’ll have to work on a way to get that working.
(3) Might be possible to pull one of the backup PLLs down a bit, so I’ll have to look into that
(4) This is nowhere near a final version, expect more configuration options etc.

I was deciding whether to make this a donator only release, but I’ve decided against it for now, seeing as it seems really popular and I’ve been getting a bit of inquiries about it. However, nueOverClockTest is donationware, so please, please consider donating if you like the work you are seeing and want to see it worked on more.. I have to somehow allocate money between buying a TP2, paying hospital bills, rent and other expenses so any donation would be really appreciated.

Verizon CDMA(MSM7501A) running MightyRom 6.5 final no TF3D.
USB linked to computer during testing.
v1.1 instantly froze my phone.
v1.2 froze my phone within 20secs.
Things appeared to be faster ie the phone switching from normal to landscape view.
Keep up the work. I'm sure later versions will be more stable.

Didn't work on the Kaiser, though I didn't really expect it to work on anything other than the Touch Pro.  However, I think everybody who's stuck with an MSM7xxx device is grateful for all of your hard work, including myself.

tried version 1.3 while connected to pc... dont have the charger for the phone unfortunatley... anyways, if it matters, froze almost instantaneously but got to see the the "your processor speed is now 768MHz" screen though!

sprint touch pro cdma , everything runs good with battery between 100%-50%. when battery goes below 50% it locks up. i think its due to not enough voltage. anyway to bump up the vcore? it will contiue to work charging tho.

I nueOverclockTest 1.3beta installed on my KS20 with a MSM7200 processor and WM6.5 build 23034 and I have to say that navigating in the menus of Windows Titanium is noticeably faster but I can´t see in my device that the processor have now more MHz.

With A/C, 4/6 times locks after pressing yes. 2/6 able to run but locked up as soon as suspended.

Got a Fuze running 6.5 build 23409 (Da_G's clean build) and ran 1.3... locks up on battery, on USB charge it locks up but hard resets 60 secs later.  However, it didn't do a full hard reset.  It made me set up my device by aligning screen... but all my contacts and emails/texts were still there.  My apps were all still there also... but getting started is showing up in titanium again after I had hidden it. I lost connection to ATT and the built-in connection setup isn't recognizing the sim card for autosetup so I have to enter in the ISP info manually.

I'll install SK Tools and see what if it actually changed the processor data.

well, im running the 9/6 version of the energy rom on my touch pro (fuze) with a few tweaks ive applied and on battery or a/c its running GREAT!im not having any lock ups, im using manila, coreplayer, ie and have bluetooth and wifi with the phone on.. no problems, this. is. awsome.

I figured I'd throw my comments into the fray here.  I installed this last night and bumped it to the 784Ghz on my Verizon Touch Pro (don't get me started) running 23047.  Actually everything seemed to run well, A/C or no A/C.  I surfed the web with Opera and IE for around a half hour or so, and played a few games.  No lock ups/instability.  Although, I do have to say, I did not notice and increase in performance at all.

It did not work on Sprint Touch Pro running WM 6.1 ROM (mighty 4.16)
It results in infinity freezing .upon resetiing , it goes to the original speed.
everybody is waiting for the final version.
I do not know what Nue has done to make it work on his device.

I promise I will donate for a working version for the palm treo pro 850 cdma (supposedly 520 DUAL-CORE, -yeah right-) Unfortunately even with the so called dual core processor, the device is extremely slow. Just try to open internet explorer or any other program. The phone even out of the box, -or even with hacks and tweaks, is slow, but I mean it, slow.

Works on Sprint TP using SilenceX Lite 6.1 ROM.  I've had it running overnight and no freezes so far.  This makes my TP fly!  One thing I notice is applications would randomly close the first time open, but after that they run fine.  Had only 1 random restart so far because of DirectDraw I think?  But keep up the good work!  Thanks!  Oh yea, battery DOES drain faster, but not THAT much faster. (idle) I shall test some more Laughing

I am one of the lucky ones! v1.3 from the D_CP clocks up my Sprint Touch Pro on stock ROM, both on and off USB, and it is visibly much faster. TCPMP is now fast enough to seamlessly play DivX movies through the TV-out without tearing and Opera is much more pleasant to use. Hell, even SPBMoShell is visibly more pleasant.

The only trouble maker is CorePlayer, which locks up when attempting to use QTV.

Could the donors control panel get a version without all the yes/no/ok pop-ups to make it more user friendly at the current stage of development?

Hi i have a HTC Touch HD and have instaled the V1.3.cab file and when i click it when pluged in to AC mains it just restarts and still at stock speed. i am very intrested in this as my phone is so slow and needs something like this to speed it up. am i doing some thing wrong or is this just a little problem that needs over coming? i have only instaled V1.3 do i need to install the old V's first? I tried it on many roms for my Sprint Touch Pro. 6.5 restarted, 6.1 froze, stock froze after success menu XD. Just now I noticed someone succeeded by turning off the phone in the comm manager. I tried it on a custom 6.1 rom and made it to the menu. So that does help. I'm going to go back to stock rom to test turning off the phone. Hoping for a future with fullspeed FpseCE :3

Tried shutting off phone, bluetooth, and wifi. Locks up and I never see that the clock has changed. Locks up if its plugged in on AC or USB, phone was 2/3rds charged. Only tried version 1.3.

Tested on my TP2 using latest version of MightyROM and Juicy's ROM R10 both have Manila 2.5 and WM 6.5. Locked up soon as i clicked 'yes'. I don't think this app is compatible with MSM7600 processors. Honestly, if someone wants a fast processor why not get a HD2 with the snapdragon processor. I think it's a 1ghz or something. I wonder where no2chem went. He hasn't updated in the past 6 months or so. Kinda thinking he abandoned this project. Don't say I blame him since this has gotta be tough to do. I wish there was something I could do to help...

Got a Fuze running 6.5 build 23409 (Da_G's clean build) and ran 1.3... locks up on battery, on USB charge it locks up but hard resets 60 secs later.  However, it didn't do a full hard reset.  It made me set up my device by aligning screen... but all my contacts and emails/texts were still there.  My apps were all still there also... but getting started is showing up in titanium again after I had hidden it. I lost connection to ATT and the built-in connection setup isn't recognizing the sim card for autosetup so I have to enter in the ISP info manually. Thanks
